Frazier Dog Park

Neighborhood: Fourth Ward

Fraizer Park is a quaint neighborhood park with the Irwin Creek and Stewart Creek Greenway running right through it. The dog park has two sections one for large dogs and one for small dogs with plenty of space in both for your pup to run and play. On a Saturday afternoon this place is full of urban dwelling dogs getting their outdoor playtime in no matter the time of year.

William R. Davie Regional Dog Park

Neighborhood: Mathews
4635 Pineville-Matthews Rd, Charlotte, NC 28226
William R. Davie Regional Dog Park is one of the largest off leash dog parks in the Charlotte area with over 5 acres of fenced in land including grassy and wooded areas. If your dog is begging for some wide open space, consider this park for your next weekend outing.

US National Whitewater Center

If you and your pup are up for an adventure, The U.S. National Whitewater Center is well worth a day trip. The outdoor adventure center offers several dog friendly activities including miles of hiking trails along the catawba river, live music and craft beer on the lawn, and if you are feeling adventurous you can even take your dog paddle boarding or kayaking with you!


Zada Jane’s Corner Cafe

Zada Jane’s Corner Cafe is a fantastic dog friendly place in Plaza Midwood with a large patio where you can enjoy brunch with your pup on a Saturday morning. Wooden Robot Gastropub

Wooden Robot has long been one Charlotte’s favorite breweries but now has two more reason to bring your pup out to South End. Wooden Robot now has not just one but two dog-friendly patios including one in front of their new Gastropub with unique and critically acclaimed dishes to enjoy with their famous “Good Morning Vietnam” coffee blonde beer for lunch, dinner, brunch or when ever.

Futo Buta

Futo Buta features authentic, non-traditional Japanese food including ramen, sushi, steamed buns, fried chicken, as well as sakes and locally brewed beers. Run by local Chef Michael Shortino, Futo Buta has patio seating and is open Tuesday – Sunday. The outdoor heaters on the patio and nice hot ramen make Futo Buta a great place to hang out with your pup (almost) all year long.


Sycamore Brewing

Sitting in a prime spot right off the Rail Trail, Sycamore Brewing has become the most easily recognized brewery in Charlotte. Their dog friendly beer garden is one of the best in Charlotte including picnic tables, dog water bowls, umbrellas and a lot for their daily rotating food trucks. Southend residents also meet at Sycamore every Tuesday night during warm weather months for Skip & Sip dog walk club.

Birdsong Brewing

Birdsong Brewing is one of the few tap rooms in the Queen City that allows dogs to join their owners in the tap room making it perfect for a hot southern summer’s day when you are looking for a cool drink and relaxing environment for you and your dog.
